Well after reading a truly awful book by Rex Miller ( Slice ) I needed a pulpy tacky fix. Looking up at the shelves of mine that house the GnS books I decided on this one as its been a good decade or so. And I'm loving it. Already on chapter 5 and the violence and sleaze ( very important ) is bang up to scratch. I think after this I will re-read its brother book Thirst 2 : The Plague, its only a skinny little sod so I'll breeze through that one.

No love for this one then ? Its a pretty good effort. Although sleaze wise we only get a little . Our main lead gets a glimpse of his brothers wifes underwear as she ascends the stairs. This leads him to take things into his own hands if you will in the privacy of his own bedroom. Rather like a hybrid 28 days later as plague ridden people rampage in the streets attcking and looting ( A bit like whats goin on today ) After a full throttle start it slows down, the axeman character tends to bog the tale a little. Still a good un. And I'm almost finished with the sequel.
