On a cover scrounge from Vaulters with a more, ahem, diverse collection of pulp. Softcover Library UK were a reprint arm of the US name-sake, repackaging tame sleaze originals in rather racy photo-covers. I can't believe how many I've passed up over the years, and now I want to research them as part of the theme for issue 20 of The Fanatic they are proving to be rarer than rocking horse manure.
Apparently the earlier ones even had photo inserts and charged double the price of normal paperbacks. but I've yet to see one of these "in the flesh."
I'm sure there will be examples in Google Images but I'm looking for ones of sufficient quality to be used in The Fanatic. Would help me out and could be an interesting thread if the nudity tolerance of ph*t*b*ket may well be tested!

blimey, never mind having any of their books stashed away on the shelf that died of shame, i can't say i've even heard of them. suddenly i feel so inadequate and unpervy! Michael Hemmingson at Vintage Sleaze Paperbacks might be able to help as he has a few and, even if he can't, you'll find his blog of interest. *Justin, will write you over the weekend *

Speak of the devil: am trying to write a blog entry about an English Softcover Library non-gem I have (painted cover, alas).
Happy to email you scans of that one and another I've got. PM me your email if you want.
