Cover TBA
CONTENTS
A Return to the Judge’s House With Deepest Sympathy Gun Money Jesus Wept The Bag Lady Falling in Love with a Dead Boy Losing the Plot Bloody Conventions The Spoon The Trapper Life through a Lense The Family Business Stour Bridge Final Draft
So yeah, first collection, brilliant that it's happening - probably won't make Fcon, but will make and piggyback on the Norwich launch of the Pan Horror book at the beginning of October. Will be a hardback and priced at £10. Will post the cover when I get it. Obverse have been going great guns with THE PANDA BOOK OF HORROR and THE OBVERSE BOOK OF GHOSTS, so hopefully WDS will feel right at home.

Ah that's got to be the worst cover design out - just hope it gets changed before publication.

Is that a sympathy card with blood on it? Not good Johnny. The concept is fine but it looks far too photoshop and dolphin has got to go. Bring back the old Fontana Agatha Christie cover model I say.

I must admit I agree with you, Craig. Perhaps a bit obvious, but I would have gone for a more old fashioned sympathy card, perhaps Victorian in style, on a hall table, with a few other items, and perhaps something sinister, like a bloodied knife or a small bottle with poison on it, or just a few drops of blood. That dolphin definitely isn't right. David

I love this cover that Obverse have for one of their new books, so they do have some very good artists available to them. (Note some of the place names on the bus - that's one to catch if you fancy an interesting trip!)

I've had a chat - and they are re-designing it - told them exactly what I was after... Well done, Johnny.
