" ....London calling, yes, I was there, too An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true London calling at the top of the dial And after all this, won't you give me a smile? Five Years on from the Franklin Marsh-Ripper-demonik exchange on the BFS and we're still at it. Now there's stringing out a joke for you. Thanks to all our friends & contributors, old and new, treacherous and true, lecherous and blue, our most rabid critics too, all of whom have played a part in making Vault .... whatever the hell it is. best swishes and bloody kisses X onwards and downwards

A belated Happy Birthday to Vault, long may it continue. I've been lowering the tone for just over 2 years, doesn't seem that long ;D

I wanted my 1000th post to go somewhere special and this seems as good a place as any. It's a bit late in coming but here are all my very best wishes to a dark little corner of the web I can call home. I've always pictured the Vault as a rather tatty bookshop, with paperbacks piled high everywhere and unbelievably some organisation to its otherwise seeming randomness. It smells a bit musty and there are the strangest things lurking in some of the corners, but everyone there gets on and its always a pleasure to pop in, even more so now I have the company of my Lady P to share the fun with.
Ok - that's about as sentimental as I intend to get - after all, there are books to be read!
Happy Birthday Vault - here's to far more than another five years, and hopefully a few more posts from me while we're at it.

Happy Birthday Vault - here's to far more than another five years, and hopefully a few more posts from me while we're at it. Five years? Blimey. Seems only yesterday! It's my gaff, it really is ... (well, no-one else will have me !) My thoughts regarding the Vault are summed up in this 'un, to all my compadres here : Mark S.

seems kind of fitting that Vault should miss our own birthday party but for what it's worth, as of last Thursday, now we are SIX.

Many Horrible Returns!
(Which is of course what the Vault would often get if in its 1970 incarnation it was a particularly sleazy library).
