Just made a hash of this. If you are travelling to town to pick up some pulp on Hallowe'en, you could do worse than mosey on to the Roundhouse in the evening, where Alice Cooper will be doing his thing, supported by Zodiac Mindwarp and surrounded by Jim Rose and assorted freaks. Of course I've gone and booked for Monday 1st November. Doh!

I think I may try and go to this, I haven't been to one in a long time, well over 10 years in fact! I used to really enjoy going and there are still a few books that are on my wants list.... www.paperbackparade.blogspot.com

Just booked my train tickets for Zardoz, so hoping that a couple of you notoriously feckless and disorganised Vault types will be able to drag their arses out of their crypts and shamble on down for a natter and a beer. The Fanatic.

I'm sure I'll haul the old carcass along to this one. I believe Lord and Lady P might be in attendance. On a side note, & apologies for the mention, but I have a list of around 25 pulp p.back classics to flog off if anyone's interested. Drop me a PM for a list. At least it might keep the balliffs at bay for a little longer.. Mark S.

If only! At times like this I feel like Tubbs of Royston Vasey - London is just a picture in a glass snowglobe to me. Why doesn't anyone organise a decent event in Stoke? It's horrific enough, and most of the locals don't even need Halloween costumes to put on a show. Departs in a seething fume of envy

With HALLOWEEN fast closing in, figured it's time to give this a bump. Last i heard, Milan, pulp maestro of the already near-legendary interzone@TYPE has a stall booked, and it's possible there will be a ragbag of Vault's filthiest doing the rounds, touting for trade & Co. in their suspiciously bulging coats although from previous experience, last minute cancellations due to unseen circumstances (ranging from arrest for vagrancy to "the wife's got me doing a bit of grouting", etc) can never be ruled out.

on past form, Johnny, a cake shop is the last place i'm likely to wind up no matter how tasty the gooey delicacies on offer. sure hope i make it as far as the pulp fair, though. the boys in the lab have grudgingly released my festering leather trousers from quarantine for the occasion, so stand well back! 'Extreme Public health hazard' doesn't even come close.
anybody else going?

I've got an hours journey on the train then three hours on a bus due to British Rail tearing up massive chunks of rail to get to Zardoz...the things I do for books, so a nice wodge of cake afterwards will go down a treat...
