Curse you, Dr T! I was in Southend at the weekend for the launch of the BHFs Shrieking Sixties tome (in which Andy Boot receives praise) and screening of Pat Higgins' The Devil's Music and Witchfinder General with a Q&A afterward featuring Nicky Henson and Hilary Heath (nee Dwyer).
My brother was at a packed to the rafters Odeon (surely Apollo) on Sunday, loving every minute of the Ig/Williamson stage show (although starting with Raw Power followed by Search & Destroy makes the rest of the evening a tad anti-climactic). He hated Suicide, and claims to have spotted the ubiquitous Don Letts, a grey-haired Rat Scabies, Jarvis Cocker and Spizz in the audience.

Franklin, check your pms!

I did enjoy myself, Dem. Although I'd probably rate it 3rd out of the three times I've seen them. That was some opening, FM, also other highlights were: Gimmie Danger; I Need Somebody; Open Up and Bleed; I Got a Right, and I Wanna Be Your Dog. Don't know if I saw your brother, didn't spot any celeb rockers. Never really been into Suicide, so only caught their last two songs, and that didn't convince me I'd been missing out.
