And yeah, that Carnacki cover definitely rates as one of the most dreadful of that era... or any era.
Maybe a blessing that one will never know just what the hell were they thinking???

While 'The Dweller in Darkness' is also well written, I can't see how anyone with the slightest knowledge of Lovecraft could be surprised with the 'shock ending'.

the stories of Bloch and Campbell are without a doubt more memorable than Lumley or Wade. I honestly don't remember the Wilson story.

To continue a theme, I think that if Lovecraft read 'Cold Print' he'd faint before he came to the end of it.
