Great review, Will. I read this ages ago, back in the late 80s probably but it was a pivotal book for me - along with Dark Forces - in showing me a different direction for horror. Roberta Lannes' story is probably one of the most powerful I've read.

Nice review. I've had this book for a while but still haven't finished it. I seem to have lost the knack of reading anthologies all the way through; these days I dip into them at random intervals and it takes me forever to finish them.
