The Dark Shadows Book Of Vampires And Werewolves (Paperback Library Gothic, August 1970) Barnabus and Quentin Collins present thir favourite tales of Vampires and Werewolves and tell you why!
Mrs. Amworth: Could that pleasant, helpful woman really be the vampire terrorizing a quiet English village?
Wolves Don't Cry: Inside the man's head strange ideas were stirring. His paw, what had happened to it? Where was the stiff grey hair? The steel-strong nails?
For The Blood Is The Life: Now I knew that those white, misty arms had been around me too: I shuddered as I remembered that I had heard the night-owl then. But it had not been the night owl! It was the cry of the thing! Barnabus & Quentin Collins - Introduction
John Polidori - The Vampyre E. F. Benson - Mrs Amworth Bruce Elliott - Wolves Don't Cry Augustus Hare - The Vampire Of Croglin Grange Trad - Men-Wolves (From The Polish) F. Marion Crawford - For The Blood Is The Life M. R. James - Count Magnus Lewis Spence - The Vampire Legend: It's Origin And Nature "Dolly" - The Vampire Nemesis The more I look at it, the introduction and selection suggest that Bernard J. Hurwood had more of a hand in this one than he's letting on ...

Read quite a few Jack Chick comics as a kid, though never seen the Bewitched/ Dark Shadows one before. Not sure how I got hold of them - were they issued to schools or something? Honest, they used to terrify me because it seemed anything I liked was a sin.

Honest, they used to terrify me because it seemed anything I liked was a sin. I'm particularly fond of the Jack Chick comic about Dungeons & Dragons.

That's hilarious. "I don't want to be Elfstar anymore... I want to be Debbie!!!!"
I still find it hard to believe that a full length movie was made from this...

I've learned the hard way. From now on I'll take ALL of JoJo's comments as HOLY TRUTH.
