Okay, firstly, I JUST discovered Guy N. Smith at my local used book store about 8 months ago. They had all 6 crab books there, and I laughed my ass off at the covers and the sillyness of the idea of KILLER CRABS!! They were only a $1.00 each, so I bought the lot, and loved them. I haven't had good fun reads like this in a long time.
Secondly, I live in Oregon in the US, where NO ONE knows who Guy N. Smith is (or who Adam Ant is for that matter). It is impossible to find Guy N. Smith books around here. I have been looking online a lot and I have since been able to get Bats Out of Hell, The Wood, The Black Fedora, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Witch Spell, Water Rights, DeathBell, Dead Meat (the Sabat series collected), and some more... all for about $1 each plus (ugh) overpriced shipping.
As I find out more information about him, I am posting it on Wikipedia.
Every once in awhile I see a good lot on Ebay. One lot was huge and only went for $5.00, but the shipping was around $49 from Australia to the US.
Any good ideas on where I can order his books in bulk and save on shipping?
Thanks, Antmusic

Concerning the postage, antmusic, have you tried amazon marketplace? Some of the sellers charge outrageous prices for the books, but some do not. And the postage is fixed. Not so good of course is that sellers have to charge each order seperatly. Two books ordered by the same sellers costs you double postage.
There was a good US seller the name escapes me in the moment but I will look it up. He used to have a lot of horror.

One of the places I find good for 2nd hand books is www.abebooks.comYou can search for books in your own country, so I guess this would save on shipping?

Abebooks is where I found my copy of June Book of Strange Stories 1972 (arrived today). I usually do search for books from this country - it's a good idea. Doing that not only saves on postage, but reduces the time I have to wait for the books. In my experience, the worst country from which to order seems to be Canada, followed by the USA. Australia and Japan seem pretty good.

Oh no, Redbrain, I think you've just caused my divorce! I didn't know about that site before, so that's another place where I can buy yet more "smelly old books", as my long-suffering hubby calls them, and continue to infuriate him!

Sorry! your hubby's attitude seems a bit weird - but perhaps there's only room in any given household for one person who really likes smelly old books.

No, no, it's just that he's not a fan of smelly old books like me. And the space I have devoted to them is quickly running out. We need a bigger house! And don't worry, I was only joking about the divorce. He's put up with me for long enough now; he's used to it.

Guy had several novels published by Zebra, and they were only available in the States (unless you were a member of the fan club and could order them direct), so a few people over there must have heard of him He also had a western (The Pony Riders) published by Pinnacle, which was US only too. I am shocked at the prices GNS novels fetch these days. And even more shocked by the scandalous prices people charge for shipping/postage

The ones I really want to read are the grusomely titled (yet hilariously titled) ones like The Sucking Pit, The Festering, [glow=green,2,300]The Slime Beast[/glow], etc... and I wouldn't mind reading some of his Sexy Confessions books either About shipping prices and book prices... well, ;D "There's a lot of Vampires out there..." ;D

There's nothing like a good "festering"...
I love Guy's material and have all his books. I don't have that new CD of a Polish werewolf novel because i like the smell and feel of paper.
Guy can do no wrong in my book, though I admit some of his books come close to "wrong".
He's a true original in terms of style and perspective. That's why i have so much affection for his work.
"The Sucking Pit" really is a classic.
