My cousin recently discovered several of Guy's books at a secondhand book sale and, remembering my interest, bought them all for me. He picked up The Unseen, The Wood, Warhead, Demons, Mania, Blood Circuit, Phobia, Locusts, Alligators, and Snakes. Not bad all in one go! Lots of creepy Christmas reading...
Thanks for rejoining, fendahl. Can I borrow your luck until after Christmas? Actually, I didn't do so badly for Guy novels at Zardoz. Bamboo Guerillas, Locusts, Bats Out Of Hell and The Graveyard Vultures in one hit.
From the first, I set myself against "literature"; the story was the thing, and no amount of style could persuade me to select a story that lacked genuine, unadulterated horror. For those who wanted something high-brow there was plenty.
A good haul there HP! I built most of my Guy Smith collection in block buys like this - 10 in one go if I recall!
Latest book here at Crabby Cove is THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN : Solid Gold Kidnapping ( adapted from one of the 3 pilot shows). A big thanks to Dem for this and the uproariously funny Free Swim - It's the crabs , book wrapper! I laughed out loud - cheers pal - Chrissie's work I take it?!
