I have not discovered a means to insert images in posts. Is that option available at all? Hi! As Swampirella already said, you have to use one of those hosting providers like imgbb or imagebam, just to name a few.
How to work with this is explained here. From personal experience I don't use the insert image any longer because I often can't seem to make it work. I just copy the link, switch to the BBCode page below and paste the link. If you switch to Preview again, you should see the linked picture before you create the post. This gives you the opportunity to change things before posting.

I use imgbb.com - (1) Click "Start Uploading". (2) Find the image file you want to upload on your computer. (3) Click "Upload". (4) Choose "BBCode full linked" from the "Embed Codes" drop-down menu, then click "Copy" in the box below. (5) Just paste this straight into your post as "plain text" - no need to use "Insert Image" icon.

We may have scared "memizon" away, with all our various instructions. If he wasn't scared enough of us Vaulters before.

This forum balances on a very fine line. You are encouraged to enthusiastically show photos of your paperbacks, ... but you should not be too enthusiastic about it, because no one really cares about your books. It should rather be done with a nonchalant flick of the hand. I am not quite able to master that technique. I think this forum may also be about the circumstance that it is often more enjoyable to read stories spontaneously from a battered old paperback that you can toss around, than reading them from an expensive hardback book that you consciously care too much about. My past reading experiences have often been that way. The most valuable thing is discovering all the authors I have been recommended here on Vault of Evil. Thank you, all participants!
