Obviously handcrafted in the Bowels of Perdition by the Iniquitous and the Vile. * ;D
Excellent!
I can't wait for my copies to arrive.

Got my copy last week, but my computer died the same morning so I haven't been able to warble about it online. And now I've got a zombie computer with a HAL complex...
BBoH3 looks fucking great, Charles.

I've just had a preliminary squizz and it looks every bit as marvellous as the others. Or should that be skwizz. Rock on, Dr Terror

The book is a blinder. Absolute Tour de force. Enjoyed it thoroughly. There are about seven or eight truly brilliant stories and not a damp squib throughout.
The first three stories by Rog Pile, Gary McMahon and David A. Riley read like a 'how to amaze and delight your friends by your abilities as a horror anthologist'. Perfect beginning which moves on to further splendour. The balance is perfect. The three short shorts are stunning. For example, Out of Her Head, by Christine Mortimer sent me spinning years back to my adolescence, the kind of story that school kids would be repeating to each other if they were still allowed to read this stuff.
I promised myself though, not mention individual names because I would have to mention everybody. Its just a brilliant anthology. Well done, Charles

I really wish I didn't have this bordering-on-OCD need to read books in the order I buy them, because I really want to read this one now, but there are a couple of others ahead of it in the queue. I'm hoping they're both stinkers so I can toss 'em aside and find out if the 3rd BBoH really does live up to that amazing cover...

From the bits I've read so far, I can tell you it definitely does

Okay - phoned Uri Geller yesterday and he asked me to send him a copy of the book and also ANOTHER copy of the book which he said he would draw a picture and sign it in. So I've sent him the 'en masse' copy - where I'll hope to get everyone who wrote in it to sign it. Now, I'm slowly recovering from what was the most surreal experience of my life so far - but there could be more with Uri Geller to follow......obsequiousness isn't a trait I'm familiar with, but I'm eager to learn!!

He must have a great sense of humour. I loved your story by the way, Johnny. ;D I haven't finished BBoH3 yet by any means - dipping in and out of it in between other things, as I generally do - but what I have read of it, I've thoroughly enjoyed.

Yours truly - John Mains will be on BBC Radio Suffolk on the Luke Deal Show at 2pm on the 18th of August talking about the 3rd Black Book of Horror, Uri Geller, and the Pan Books.
It will be as live as it comes, no pre-records, and is just ripe for abusing as much as possible - though I'll be as frightened as a mouse by it all of course!!!
Hope the local Waterstones stocks up.....
