That truly is the best cover blurb I've seen in ages. I, too, now want to read that one! That blurb is to all other blurbs as the cover of The Little People is to all other covers.

Picked up some Vaultish things on the Gold Coast. Ron's Bookshop is having a closing down sale - $1 for paperbacks, $2 for hardbacks. Here's a few of them: 1975 NEL edition of The Phantom Ship Nice battered paperback of The Curse of Doone '50s Aus sf pulp with a column by Graham Stone, compiler of the Australian Science Fiction Bibliography, and still going strong well into his 90s. Australian edition of Fantasy and Science Fiction, which was news to me.

Highly recommended.

Hey Al! Found this at the Red Cross this morning for €0,80! I remember this one from when I was in High School even though i was never a big Caidin fan. Bantam was realy into double layer covers and fold out posters back then. Their conan Pastiches were good examples of theis marketing tactic. I don't know if they directly stole the idea from Berkley'S REH series or not. Berkely did it first though and only with their REH titles where as Bantam was all over the place with it. Take care.
