The Little People by John Christopher although was slightly disappointed that the version that i have is sans the awesome Hector Garrido artwork as detailed below I cannot stop looking at this cover. It is a thing of wonder. I was so impressed/captivated/engrossed by it that I've printed it out and now have it as the cover of my eBook reader.

I really do want "The Little People" now.
With that cover. Not sure if there were ever any other covers. I hope not.

The UK Sphere edition was plain black with pairs of eyes looking out. You can see it on the 'Little People' thread in the 'DIY anthologies' section above.

Gwenyth by the_junk_monkey, on Flickr 25p in a charity shop. I've laughed out loud (in public) three times at the awfulness of the prose in the first chapter alone.

As always went to the Sunday flea market here in Canberra, this time armed with only $10 to pick up some Royal Gala apples and hoping there'd be no decent books that I'd miss out on. And of course there was a guy there with a pile of 50s Australian digest sized science fiction chapbooks called American Science Fiction - short novellas by the like of Henry Kuttner, CL Moore, James Blish etc - all in amazing condition. I was hoping he didn't know what they were and would be keen to off load the lot for .50c, but of course he knew and was asking $10 each. So I picked up this one, which was the odd one out - Selected Science Fiction #1, with PKD novella called "Second Variety."

Great find! I'm jealous. 'Second Variety' was the basis for the film Screamers.

Tendrils looks excellent in a Tremors way! That's right - who can resist that cover blurb. No doubt there's a Vault thread about it somewhere.
