C E Moore, indeed! Have I mentioned that I own a 1970s Ballantine Books edition of THE GODS OF MARS that gives the name of its author on the title page as Edgar Rice Burrows?

At least they were consistant! Oh, so that's C.L. Moore too? I'd assumed it was actually someone named C.E. Moore

Westerns aren't my usual cup of tea but I couldn't resist these two at 50p each today: Rio Bravo by the_junk_monkey, on Flickr The Ox-Bow Incident by the_junk_monkey, on Flickr The Ox-Bow incident is a pretty damn good book by any standards (I have the previous UK paperback by Penguin somewhere) and anything with Leigh Brackett's name on it has got to be worth picking up.

Paul Mudie £1 well-spent in the Watney Market branch of the Spitalfields Crypt charity shop! Will say this for the previous owner - they handle their books with care. wonder if it was that chap came on here asking for recommendations? judging by his Am*z*n review, he won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Not really a find in the bought in a second hand shop sense - it's been taken me a while to get my greasy mitts on this but...well, I'll let the photo speak for itself.

Great covers. Don´t know which one is scarier, the lady with the needlework or aunt Petunia. Btw. Is anybody interested in a copy of Barbara Idelson Spooky Stories 1? There is one in an auction for next to nothing which ends tommorow evening. I don´t care for this, but if someone needs this for this collection, wave. Oh, and has anybody else problems with photob*c*t? Wanted to upload some scans but it kept crashing.
