we never did find out who designed it but my uneducated guess would be Lucinda Cowell who, judging from Franklin Marsh's mini-interview, was doing a lot of work with masks at the time.

HP, I think that Peter McCurtin was the author of Operation Hong Kong, one of his Soldier of Fortune series from the late 70s.

Thomas Tryon - Harvest Home That was a good one, I always wanted to check if this was the first of this small subgenre of horror. McDowell - Blackwater 6: Rain I love these. Read them a couple of times. I am a big McDowell fan. This was the first of those serial novels like King´s Last Mile or Saul´s Blackwater. It is just a big novel cut in 6 pieces. I don´t know why I like it so much. It is basically a generational soap opera with some southern horror thrown in. Not very gory or violent. Always wanted to write them up. These are something of an oddity. Cthulhu´s Reign Here is the link to Cthulhu´s Reign. Interesting premise, lousy cover though.
