Harry's book that John is providing great commentary on in this very thread.
I have found Urban Legends... has anyone read this?
Cheers, Martin

oh...right...yes i'm a bit slow on the uptake at times. Urban legends - just found out about it last night - and about four other books that he's written. I'll wait till I hear from him and ask for a complete bibiograpy.

Martin - Harry's 'The Venetian Chair' is another cracking collection if you can find it. Reviewed in mine own fair hand on this very site (I think it's under the 90s section).
And good to see how much attention this thread on a super-obscure book is getting!

Just got off the phone with Harry Turner! He called me sprog!! And he's cleared up the following - he went under the following names: Jane Louie : The Trump Card - PBoH 22 Dr Dichter and the Terminal Cosmetic - PBoH 23 Gregory Alexander: The Singer Not the Throng - PBoH 22 Foster Parents - PBoH 23

Excellent work, John! Ah, The Singer Not The Throng, as slaughtered by a curmudgeonly demonik as 'pointless' or some such! My guess is all the pseudonymous stuff - and maybe Fat Old Women Who Wear Fur Coats - were written to order when the Herbs needed a few pages filled in a hurry. If so, Harry can add pulpster to his impressive list of achievements!
Has his interest in 'true' ghosts and the 'supernatural' been a life-long thing?

The more Johnny uncovers the more the Pan series feels like a smaller and smaller club it must have been a laugh to be a member of.

I now consider myself as a fan of Harry's work as I dug out copies of the 11th & 15th Pan Books and read 'Hell's Bells' and 'Fingers' respectively... ...I have requested 'Venetian Chair' as a Christmas present, but may cave and buy Urban Legends beforehand. Right, I'm off too look for further anthology appearances, whilst I await these volumes and,of course 'Coffin Nails' Great work by the way Johnny...
