Hey there...and thanks to KillerCrab/Ade for giving me the board addy after a long time absent. Personally, I'm just mad as a Deathbell'd villager to see a KillerCrab special atop the Smith book. But more on that later

I don't like the look of the orlof character...bit shifty.

Alright, now that I've pulled my nose out of DOOMFLIGHT for a few minutes I figured I'd unzip that band-aid and share a bit of what I've got cooking for this GNS Reader. I first mentioned it to Neil because I thought it would be great to have not only a nice book for Guy fanatics to be able to pull out and look at artwork, read up on and get perspective from other fans about his books-but something for new readers to use as a field manual. Forget controlling moles! Navigating the Smith Canon requires some kind of compass, and with the upcoming reprints I hope that not only do we all get nice editions of old favorites (and certainly some interesting new stuff)-but a whole new group of fans will pop up. How can THESUCKINGPIT.COM not get hits. I'll be very curious to see what random searches take readers there And hey, who here would not want to see Ade/KillerCrab going full bore into the Smithverse? I've known Ade for several years and am a big big big fan (my wall has a lovely Terry Sharp battling Lina Romay as Countess Irina)-this is going to be cool. By and large, I'm hoping to share a ton of enthusiasm and genuine love for GNS and his books, as well as an epic appreciation of the man himself. I never ever use the term "guilty pleasure" because I don't feel guilt at getting enjoyment from anything. Hopefully that will come across. As mentioned, Ade is in for a few commentaries (I love his CARACAL) and I wouldn't have anyone else write up Bats Out Of Hell-and I'm feverishly working on some as I type this. I'm sure Neil and I can make it worth your while if you would like to help out. Guy's catalog is really immense and I'm looking to have full blown entries consisting of interesting plot synopsis' (worthy of GNS and not a blow by blow boring recounting) as well comments from those that enjoy the books. There is a lot of information, a lot of fun to have writing and certainly a great resource to forge with the Smith catalog. I must admit, as an American I've worked at a bit of a disadvantage not having these books really easily available-and this is exactly the kind of book I would love to have. You can always reach me at dr.orlof@gmail.com and I'm hoping that you fellas won't mind me popping in and probably re-starting old threads. Lots to talk about and I'm constantly nose down in something Smith these days. Heck, up next... SONG OF THE SOUTH! Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah... Br'er Rabbit will fall in love with a nympho in two pages and the inhabitants of the briar patch may be eaten alive... by the CRABS!

I'd ike to ask:
Does anyone have a good copy of The Festering they could scan for me. I have a better copy than Guy, but still not too hot. I'd rather not spend best part of a day with Photoshop...so if anyone could help, drop me a personal note.
And anyone who contributes to the book that David and I are putting together (well him mostly...I just add prety pictures...well OK...he's doing nearly all and I just supply bits)...will get a credit in the book, a signed copy (hardback)...and a few other GNS trinkets that are not on general distribution.
Thanks in advance.

I am overly excited to hear that GNS may be available here in the US.
Are you planning on distributing through Horror Mall (horror-mall.com)? Or Bad Moon Books (http://www.badmoonbooks.com/)? Or somewhere else?
Thanks!

Hi Ant
Can't say too much...except that negotiations are underway for distribution in North America.
I'll post details here and on the website asap.

So, what are the chances of some of those being signed limited editions? LOL.
I work on Guy N. Smith's Wikipedia page a lot, and I am working on updating it with the Ghostwriter info... so far just the Werewolf book, because that hasn't been available in english before.
A bit ago, I added the titles that were in his short story collections (all but Mystery & Horror Shorts: 1st Collection because Guy's site ran out of those when I ordered from them). Does anyone have a title list for Mystery & Horror Shorts: 1st Collection I can add to the Wiki page?
Thanks!

The thing is I didn't know it was a pretty scarce book.... I can even lend you the book itself to to scan as I don't think my scanning abilitys are too hot if I am honest with you,but I can deffently give it a try. If it doesn't work out P.M me an address and I can send you my copy to be scanned.
