I'm pretty sure it was launched on Friday evening, about the time I went off for a curry with JLP and a host of other folk. I didn't see it in the dealers' room (then again I didn't spend a great deal of time in there).
I did pick up the two BLACK BOOK OF HORROR volumes I didn't have; and Charles kindly signed them for me. Allyson had about two seconds to sign her book before we piled into the one lift left working!

Thanks for that, Mark. Considering this is a BFS publication, the BFS site seems oddly silent about it.
I like that about the one lift left working! From the various accounts I've read about the convention (which seems otherwise to have been a great success this year) the hotel seems on the verge of collapse. Sounds great. I love conventions in rickety hotels. In the early days, in Birmingham at the old, much-lamented Imperial, that added a touch of strange glamour to it all.

No idea when it was launched, but when I tried to pick one up I was told BFS members should be getting their copies in the post over the next week or so.
It looks very nice by the way.

Thanks for that info, John. I presume the copies they had there were mainly for sale to non-members then. I knew all members were getting copies as part of their subs. Looking forward to seeing it. One of the items is the longest piece less than novel length I've ever written, at just over 18,000 words. (Though I believe Gary - Greedyboy - Fry managed to get an even longer story included!) ;D

Incredible sales Ally - one of these moments when you wished you had a van out back like Ken Dodd - with loads of books in it. And well deserved by the sound of the critiques.

Thanks Craig! I'm knackered still...in 2 days I go over to Hong Kong for 10 days and then straight into a new collection/back to novel/whatever

David, they were on sale - but I resisted as I knew I'd be getting a copy as a member of the BFS.
Not sure how well they were selling, but the book looked good.

Many thanks for that, Stephen. I don't suppose there were all that many attendees who weren't already BFS members, so I don't suppose they would have sold that many. Glad to hear the book looks good. I do have a copy of the artwork used for the cover. This doesn't, of course, include the title, etc yet. David

Just had an email from Dave Sutton, who edited this book for the BFS, that contributors' copies will be sent out shortly, so no doubt BFS members will get their copies soon as well.

That is a fantastic piece of artwork.
Charles, they were on the table near the reception desk. They were selling other BFS publications - the HP Lovecraft, the BFS anthology, etc, etc
I'm not that well-read on WHH, so I'm looking forward to getting this book.

Ramsey politely making a suggestion about doing something to Sarah Pinborough with a rope after winning his award. Was there some controversy involving Ms Pinborough?
