N. Dennett's "Unburied Bane" was also anthologized in Tales of Witchcraft edited by the late, lamented Richard Dalby. Unlike most of the books discussed in these august catacombs, I actually own a copy of this one. I think I did read "Bane" a few years ago but so shockingly horrific an experience was it that I have no actual memory of the event. So must read again.
I just read this last week in its translation for the first time. Creepy. (That you mention it today, but the story was also okay. For something originally appearing in a British anthology it was surprisingly American. My first guess was Weird Tales and not Creeps, before I read it up.)
