Bad Seed, the JD fanzine from the USA, ran to 5 issues between 1984 and 1988. Produced by Miriam Linna of KICKS Magazine, Smut Peddler and Norton Records, these are invaluable to the JD collector. Issue 5 has a feature on British Juvie books. Other features include real life JD's and movies. Attachments:

Smut Peddler is essential reading for anyone interested in sleaze paperbacks, cheesecake mags and the like. It was issued in the USA in 1992 by Miriam Linna and ran to 2 issues, as far as I know, I've never seen any others. Attachments:

The first issue. I've also started posting up some of my books at Paperback Parade. Blogspot It seems a shame just to put them back on the shelf once I've read them and it's good to share the info. I'll have to check out Paperback Fanatic as well. Attachments:

Rumble was a great fanzine, along with Bad Seed, if you were into JD paperbacks, they were absolutely ESSENTIAL reading. I hold Martin responsible for getting me into collecting paperbacks. So, thanks Martin, I've enjoyed every minute of it!

It's a good read considering the author was a teenager when she wrote it. It's been reprinted many times, with lots of different cover art, though I've never seen this one, I'll have to dig my copies out and post them up. Made into a film as well.

Just joined, so thought I'd drop by and say hello and tell you what I collect. Mainly it's Juvenile Delinquent, Beatnik, Dope, Skinheads, Bikers etc, pretty much any paperback that deals with wayward youth. Also collect hardbacks as well and my other vice is vinyl.
