One of those unexpected finds at Ebay a few years ago. Ha! I got this from a store when it was new. I was eleven.

I watched Spanish sensation LA MESITA DEL COMEDOR (aka THE COFFEE TABLE; 2022). I was not as impressed as some people. I was curious to see how they would manage to stretch out the basic premise (a tragic accident involving a . . . coffee table) to 90 minutes. It turned out to involve a lot of exactly that---stretching. Also, do not seek this out expecting a horror film.

I had no idea about his involvement in the film industry (possibly because I had not paid attention).

Maybe they aren't raped and tortured. I honestly don't remember. I just remember after each book I read that Laymon wrote like the world's oldest 12-year-old boy who has problems, writing for other twelve-year-old boys with problems. I only read them because they were so popular at the time. I finally just quit reading Laymon altogether. Women are, of course, raped, tortured, and murdered all the time in Laymon's books. But it seems to me they are not typically minors.

I am rereading ISLAND now. Is it possibly Laymon's perviest novel? Are minors raped and tortured in any other work of his? I think the easier question to answer is, "Do any of Laymon's books not include minors being raped and tortured?" All three Laymons I read did, before I quit reading his work. You may be right, but that is not how I remember it.

I received my copy. For those who were wondering---yes, it is sewn. As well it should be, at its price.

Everybody is familiar with Modest Mussorgsky, composer of such beloved works as PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION. Less known is his brother, Cocky. Strident Cage is my favourite composer. Almost two years on, this still makes no sense to me.

Bolan lacks the pathos and the relentless melodram of Wentworth, his insanity is different. Well, he frequently refers to himself in the third person, as "The Executioner." And he leaves a calling-card. (Admittedly, there are other literary characters who do as well.) Oh, and he has a supporter on the police force who must, of course, officially be out to get him.

Here are two photos to show the dimensions. Nice! But is it sewn or glued?

I am currently reading my first The Executioner novel ever, the first one. Surprisingly, it seems to me inspired by The Spider.

Are the pages sewn, though, rather than glued? I will not happily pay that sort of money for a book that was glued together. I will post a few photos tommorrow. Cool! I already ordered it, though.

My only critique could be - and this is a small thing and purely subjective - that the book has one of those laminated pasteboard (?) covers instead of a dust jacket. Are the pages sewn, though, rather than glued? I will not happily pay that sort of money for a book that was glued together.

I want it! It is pretty expensive, though.
