There must be some fictional stories about it, but I can't find anything apart from the poem "The Hand of Glory - A Nurse's Tale" by Richard Barham. I'm sure my fellow Vaulters know of some!
Edit: Oops, I should have thought of looking for a similar thread, as I usually do, but now that it's been created, it's staying!

Seabury Quinn's Hand of Glory ( Weird Tales, July 1933). Even E. F. Bleiler was complimentary about some of it! Pretty sure there is an instance in Robin Hardy & Anthony Shaffer's The Wicker Man novelisation, too. Also, Manly Wade Wellman, The Dead Man's Hand, ( Weird Tales, Nov. 1944), and James Platt, The Hand of Glory, ( Tales of the Supernatural: Six Romantic Stories), 1894.

Eddy C. Bertin's "Like Two White Spiders" more energetic from all list.
Oh....and "The Hand Of The O'Mecca" by Howard Wandrei of course.

"Glory Hand" by August Derleth [Weird Tales February 1937] reprinted in Derleth's first story collection SOMEONE IN THE DARK.
Augie at his insufferable worst unfortunately.

I don't know if this counts, but it was used as a prop in some novels. Robert Weinberg's entertaining pulp horror The Armageddon Box comes to mind. And of course Hellboy's Box full of Evil, where it was nicely illustrated.
