Moonstomp - Tim Wells (2019 - Unbound Press) "Youth cult meets occult" - Rhoda Dakar "A fiendish tale of a skinhead werewolf rampaging through London in 1979. Snap up a copy before it bites your hand off." John King , author of Human Punk. "Skinheads and werewolves and reggae and boozers, lager and kicking in fat City losers...Beautiful. Brutal, Brutus. It's got the lot!" Phill Jupitus AGGRO ON THE STREETS OF LONDON! 1979: punk, reggae,,boots,braces,button-down shirts. Packed full of music, style and bovver, Moonstomp is the written in blood story of a teenage skinhead who's also a werewolf. The full moon rises, and bodies fall. Good old Goth Bint. It's indirectly down to her that I stumbled across this little beauty that just goes to show they can make 'em like they used to. Tim Wells is a punk/ranting poet and obviously lived through this era, and packs this 90 page gem (I read it in an hour) full of youth cult and horror cliches, that ring so true if you're of a certain age. I can't put in the references because there's approximately ten or so per every couple of pages. Needless to say Lene Lovich and Ken Campbell appear as themselves, Nicky Tesco and The Members turn up, there's a Nazi skin who calls himself Kessler (after the second most popular writer of German soldier themed novels, set during WWII. Cola spangles, lager tops, some vibrant turns of phrase, that punning title, Symarip, the Pan Books of Horror namechecked twice, Madeleine Smith as a pin up, 'Joe Bovshover', Brick Lane on a Sunday, the Hope & Anchor, Sounds (written by yobs) rather than the NME (written by students)...Porky the Poet's right, it does have the lot!

There's a photographer credited so I'd think permission was obtained.
