Looks like this is the line-up for the next Ghosts & Scholars, which should be out next month sometime.
Fiction: "Windsheer" by Christopher Harman (when the dark arts meet a kite flying competition, something very sinister is born).
"An Aunt's Tale" by Victoria Day (who or what was it that said "Now we're shut in for the night"?).
Non-Fiction: "'Wrapped In His Books'?: The Character of the Scholar in M.R. James's Stories" by Mark Valentine. "Aickman's 'The School Friend': A Response" by Peter Bell (a different view on one of Robert Aickman's most Jamesian tales, following Mark Valentine's critique in the previous issue). "Some Worcestershire Encounters with J.S. Leatherbarrow (and other people)" by John Howard (a contribution to the "Jamesian Traveller" series, on the author of A Natural Body and a Spiritual Body).
News and Reviews.

It sounds very cool. Is the previous issue still available as well?
Best wishes,

News and Reviews. A new Christopher Harman story (and a new issue of G&S for that matter) is always a cause for celebration. Although I thoroughly enjoyed Sarob's The Heaven Tree (a collection consisting of five stories but two of which were unpublished novellas) I think it is time someone releases a more retrospective volume of his work. He has released some gems over his 25 year career. Mr Happy

A new Christopher Harman story (and a new issue of G&S for that matter) is always a cause for celebration. Although I thoroughly enjoyed Sarob's The Heaven Tree (a collection consisting of all new and previously unpublished fiction by Mr. Harman) I think it is time someone releases a more retrospective volume of his work. He has released some gems over his 25 year career. Mr Happy I completely agree. Chris did have a contract or at least an informal agreement with Ash-Tree for such a volume, which came to nothing. He might be thinking along the lines of 'once bitten twice shy', but it's time someone else approached him with the proposal.

postage price increases!!! Again? I used to order books overseas all the time in the past, but the crazy postage prices in the US have killed that market for me. And the Uk seem to be all over the place. 6 Pound postage for a small paperback on Ebay seems a bit high, on the the other hand some sellers only charge 1,60.
Have you considered doing G&S as a print on demand like Mr. Mariott has done with the PF?

Have you considered doing G&S as a print on demand like Mr. Mariott has done with the PF? Six pounds postage to the US from here for a paperback is about right. With the new postage hikes, G&S would have cost me £6 because it's 48pp which would have normally have taken it over 100 grams. Fortunately, judging from the proof copy I've checked today, the printer has been able to do it on slightly thinner paper/card, which means I can fit it under 100 grams, saving me quite a lot in overseas postage. David Longhorn and I produced Jacqueline Simpson's collection print on demand and it came out very well, but it's not something I'd consider at present for G&S. Maybe in the future.

My copy of Ghosts & Scholars 35 arrived three days ago. I see it's got a new cover by the face of Ghosts & Scholars. I got it wrong the last time. I think this is him:

Rosemary,
In your obituary of Hugh Lamb in Ghosts & Scholars 35 you mentioned again that he phoned you when every issue came out. Did he ever say anything about my contributions? For example, "Who in hell is he?".

Is it still $13 including shipping to the U.S. or have you had to make the understandable increase? Either way, set me one aside and I will have cash in the mail within 24 hours. Mr Happy
