Hi
I am producing another Ghost Stories for Christmas charity fundraiser in 2018 and my theme is The Horror of Childhood. I am after recommendations of horror and ghost stories featuring children, either as the protagonist or antagonists. There is of course Lost Hearts by M. R James, so I am thinking of stories along these lines.
Also, does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of Sweets to the Sweet by Robert Bloch? The only collections I can find ON amazon are out of print and therefore crazily expensive. Many thanks!

Benson’s “How Fear Departed From the Long Gallery.” Your best bet for finding an inexpensive copy of “Sweets to the Sweet” (a good story) might be to buy a used copy of Witches, edited by Isaac Asimov, Martin H. Greenberg, and Charles G. Waugh or My Favorite Horror Story, edited by Mike Baker and Martin H. Greenberg. Both are available from that big online bookseller. As an aside, the former anthology also includes one of my all-time favorite science fiction stories, James H. Schmitz’s “The Witches of Karres.”

Hi Craigee, You can download a free pdf of the relevant Weird Tales issue from Archive Org. Direct link: Weird Tales, March 1947This thread offers a number of suggestions: The Bad Seed: Children Are Evil

John Collier's "Thus I refute Beelzy" is a must... at least, if *I* were doing the book, it would be!
I have a really vague memory that "They" by Rudyard Kipling had something to do with children but I don't have time to check properly.
Wishing you all the best with the project,
H.

Also, "Blood Son" by Richard Matheson... also published under the title "Drink my blood." It was included in Haining's anthology The Midnight People. In addition, "Homecoming" by Ray Bradbury.
cheers, H.
