I suppose it's possible that other writers have made use of some of his odd beasties, such as the Shonokins or gardinels, but I haven't encountered any examples. About the closest I can think of was the occasional references to John Thunstone that Seabury Quinn dropped into a few "Jules de Grandin" stories - Wellman returned the compliment - but there was never any sort of a formal crossoverbetween their characters. David Drake, who was a friend of MWW, once wrote a book of linked short stories, "Old Nathan", about a backwoods wizard, which was intended as something of a tribute; apparently though it isn't actually set in any of Wellman's fictional worlds. Mark Old Nathan (Baen Books, 1991) is the only book that I am aware of that was influenced by Manly Wade Wellman. Unfortunately all I can say is that I found it to be unreadable. Customer reviews in Amazon show that I am not alone in this opinion.

Can't help with other stories in the vein of Manly's, but Quinn's Repayment is a neat example of the Thurstone-de Grandin mutual support system at work. The 2nd Kurt Singer Ghost Omnibus includes The Half-Haunted and Lords Of The Ghostlands wherein, Wellman's Judge Pusuivant and de Grandin briefly consult over tricky cases. During the very wonderful episode of The Deadly Rabbits, the Judge also confers with de Grandin's perma-bamboozled sidekick, Dr. Trowbridge. Introducing Seabury Quinn's The Skeleton Closet Of Jules de Grandin, MWW writes: "We saw each other whenever we could and between times we wrote to each other. When I began writing about Judge Pursuivant, the Judge and de Grandin seemed to become friends quite naturally. Neither of us brought the other's character on stage, but Pursuivant and de Grandin wrote or telephoned each other for special information and special rewarding companionship in somewhat the way Quinn and I did."
