The Antiquary and the Crocodile: Writings about the Stories of M.R. James is a new compilation by Helen Grant of all her MRJ articles from the Ghosts & Scholars Newsletter between 2004 and 2010, including her four "Jamesian Traveller" pieces (Steinfeld, St Bertrand de Comminges, Viborg and Marcilly-le-Hayer) and four others ("The Black Spider: Antecedents of 'The Ash-Tree'", "'Depositum Custodi': Wells and Treasure in German Folklore", "The Nature of the Beast: The Demonology of 'Canon Alberic's Scrap-book'", and "'Lingering Memories of the Treasure': How the lost stained glass of Steinfeld was discovered"). Readers also get Helen's competition-winning completion of MRJ's "The Game of Bear" from G&S Newsletter 15. It's an ebook for Kindle and available from Amazon at £1.99 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N5R6HHD/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1484855933&sr=1-1). The very apt cover photograph by William Bond depicts the St Bertrand crocodile in all its mouldering glory. I love that pic!
