I know it was mostly set around two prisoners who, I believe, were cellmates...and one of them had drilled holes into a previous who had tried to leave them. The other one of them is looking for an escape route he's heard of inside the prison, which turns out to be inside of a man's body. I'm sorry I can't remember many more details (it was certainly in a more recent anthology, I think) but if anyone could point me to this story, I'd really, really appreciate it!

From your synopsis, I'd sure like to read it. Can you remember anything about the book's cover artwork as sometimes that sets us on the right track?

Unfortunately, no--which is frustrating, I wish I did. If I do remember anything to help I'll be sure to update. Thank you for keeping an eye out, regardless!

I just wanted to let people who were curious know--I found it! It's "I Am Infinite; I Contain Multitudes" by Douglas Clegg in his collection Nightmare Chronicles. I'm enjoying it just as much on the second read and the relief of not having it constantly in the back of my mind is enormous.

Any more stories you want identified, we'll try and do better next time!

I can identify any story, as long as it is William Sansom's "A Woman Seldom Found." And it usually is.

I for one will vouch for your expertise in that department, M. Lapin.

I'll make sure to bring any terrible half-remembered vague ideas here. (And also: I wanted so badly to return the favor to someone else and checked the thread right underneath my own but you beat me to it. I do love that story. At least if someone comes asking for homoerotic surrealistic horror fiction I can pop my head in.)
