Has anyone researched the cover artists of GNS novels. I am aware of Les Edwards and terry oakes covers but these only account for a small proportion of the 100+ novels

Hello,
Luis Rey has done a few (The Resurrected, The Sucking Pit, The Slime Beast and a few others). Slime Beast has 3 different covers all by different artists. Luis did the cover showing the monster eating a handful of intestines. The Sucking Pit is the version with the teeth & skulls in the center of the image, surrounded by the greenish, bubbly swirl.

The newest cover artist for Guy N. Smith is Alan M. Clark, who did the forthcoming U.S. hardcover edition of The Slime Beast. This will be published by Centipede Press later this month in a limited / signed edition of 250 copies.

Les Edwards definitely did Fiend. He did Entombed with the creature on the cover. Josh Kirby did Locusts (1979). Tony Masero did Sabat (or at least 1 - The Graveyard Vultures and 2 - The Blood Merchants.)

Hi,
I'll just give raw descriptions of the cover art, as it will be easy to identify them that way.
Bloodshow: Screaming topless woman in tub/ tiled bathroom full of blood Locusts: Screaming mans' face with locusts crawling all over it Demons: Upside-down screaming man with demonic hands reaching up for him Throwback: Creature knawing/eating a bloody bone of some sort, staring at the reader. Satan's Snowdrop : Zombie SS officer swinging a whip with other figures in the background Doomflight: Corpse pilot in the cockpit of the plane The Ghoul: Movie tie-in edition The Island: Screaming man who looks as if he is burnt / missing skin.
The original painting of The Island features a lot more of the male figure; it was badly cropped for the books' cover.

Here is an update on the covers:
There were 3 books in the Crabs series released by DELL in the U.S.A. in 1988 (Crabs Moon, Crabs on the Rampage and I forget the 3rd title). All 3 covers were painted by the famous fantasy artist Rowena Morill.

Latest Guy N. Smith cover art update:
Earlier this week, Les Edwards posted 5 paintings that he did for GNS novels; you can view them on his website. The titles are:
The Camp, Manitou Doll, The Wood, The Unseen and an almost-used cover to The Festering.
