I live in Shetland - which is why the "Ultima Thule" bit  But anyway, I've spent so many hours reading old threads here over the years I thought I should actually make the effort and join up... I spent my teenage years reading the inimitable works of James Herbert (those bloody rats!) and all those other 80s superstars like King, Laymon, Smith etc etc. I also picked up a taste for the classic type of ghost story over the years, guys like Le Fanu, E.F. Benson, and M.R. James. What I really like, though, is H.P.Lovecraft-style "cosmic" horror... |

Thanks for registering, Carfilhiot, and I hope you enjoy your time here. As you've doubtless noticed, several of our contributors are disciples of cosmic doom so you shouldn't be stuck for something to read.
