And sadly we lose another giant of the genre, Kirby McCauley, agent to the stars and editor of three remarkable anthologies in Dark Forces, Frights and Night Chills. It was Dark Forces introduced me to the work of Karl E. Wagner - shall always be thankful to Mr. McCauley for that and, indeed, for the many hours of morbid enjoyment and spooky thrills his books gave me.

Again sad news. His DARK FORCES was a must have back then, today it reads like a who is who in horror. And it still managed to introduce the fan to other great writers. I don't know if I ever would have pickend up a book by Isaac Bashevis Singer if he wouldn't have been included in this.
