Congratulations! Well done. That's brilliant news. Salt have an impressive list of books and an excellent website.
Is that the actual cover or a mock up?

Been slowly working my way through a pdf of the proofs of this, and its a neat selection for sure. Already familiar with a number of stories from their source collections, including three apiece from The Tenth Black Book of Horror and Terror Tales of London, Mr. Volk's brilliant The Magician Kelso Dennett from Terror Tales from the Seaside and Robert Shearman's contribution to Psycho-Mania!. A tribute to the late Joel Lane - his story Without A Mind, introduced by Simon Bestwick - has been added since Mr. Mains' most recent update. Muriel Gray – The Garscube Creative Writing Group: (John Mains [ed.] The Burning Circus, British Fantasy Society, 2013). Graham Kearney is filling time as a janitor at the vetinary college before the world catches up with him and recognises his genius with a Pulitzer, the Nobel Peace Prize, who knows, maybe even a place on the British Fantasy Award longlist, etc.. Graham apart, The Garscube Creative Writing Group is comprised entirely of women, all of whom fancy him, though fortunately for them he has already decided they are talentless and therefore, undeserving of his favour and not worth the stalking. But Moira is different. He sees her on the bus each day, head buried in a book when not risking a sly, shy glance his way. She need only recognise Slammed for the masterpiece it unquestionably is, and Moira could be a very lucky girl indeed. Moira duly tells him those words he's waited so long to hear, but he knows her praise is insincere and, eventually, she confesses as much. If his demeaning job has one saving grace it is this: it requires his carrying keys to every door on campus. Nobody likes a critic. Gary Fry - Biofeedback. (Gary Fry Shades of Nothingness, PS,, 2013). When, in 2012, his work is first selected for Simon Jackson's annual anthology Year’s Best Spooks, slimy author, Gordon Franklyn, is smugly sceptical about matters 'supernatural'. Married to Harriet, with two young children, hard-drinking, outspoken Franklyn spent years working in crummy jobs before his breakthrough novel and is determined to enjoy his hard earned success to the max. He does. His fans scream sell out. He gets miffed. We follow Franklyn's career and private life via the increasingly disturbing pen-portraits accompanying his several subsequent contributions to the series up to 2029.... Stephen Volk - The Arse-licker: (Mark West [ed.] PentAnth 3: Anatomy of Death: In Five Sleazy Pieces, Hersham Horror, 2013). When Colin, the company's resident groveller and sneak, feels his position under threat from two smarmy new recruits, he manipulates the books in such a way as to leave his beloved managing director, Brian Innox, no option but to initiate staff redundancies on a last in, first out basis. The despised Terry Kotwika takes his job loss to heart, and his vengeance is truly the stuff of playground legend. Mr. Volk's did-you-write-that-for-a-bet?/ Eric The Pie moment.

Hello folks - don't know if anyone's interested - but the official launch will be 11th of July, 6:30pm at Covent Gardens Waterstones. Seemingly we'll be up against Neil Gaiman who is launching at another part of town, so expect three people and a load of wine.

Just you Jonny, or will any of the authors be there? I'd be tempted to try a blag a trip to town. Don't fancy going on to Hall and Oates at the Ham Od, or Eminem at Wembley, but A Hard Days Night is on at the NFT.
