But some of them are very short, no longer then 12 sentences. Some are jokes with bad puns. Some are just a few pages long. Here is the introduction in which Mr Glut does a Burroughs. It contains the information of the publishing history of those tales.

Thanks Andy. I've now corrected the info in the Glut biblio. Was this the last of the Druktenis Frankensteins? Checking the credit for Dr. Karnstein's Creation in Michel Parry's Rivals Of Frankenstein and it is "© 1976 by the author of TALES OF FRANKENSTEIN", no publication details, so should've realised it had yet to find a home! It is such a pity that NEL didn't run with the whole New Adventures series. I guess the collapse of Peter Haining's MEWS offshoot did for that prospect. On a happier note, at the death of the Frankensteinia interview, Don reveals that he's planning to reunite Burt and the creature for a twelfth and final novel.

AppendixBlurb: Continuing the monstrous adventures begun in Volume One, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF FRANKENSTEIN VOLUME TWO plunges readers back into the shadowy netherworld of the supernatural as the iconic Frankenstein monster matches might with the Mummy, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Count Dracula, and even a new Dr. Frankenstein!
These terrifying tales of our horrific undead hero propel us into the razor-toothed climax of the series, the BRAND NEW Frankenstein novel by author Donald F. Glut, Frankenstein: The Final Horror!Am reading these from The New Adventures of Frankenstein Collection: Vol 2 - an 800 page glut of Glut - which omits the 'Bonus Frankenstein Feature! The She-Monster Comic by Briefer.' Everything else seems to be in place. Burt Winslow Ph.d - Introduction: He of the "superb brain" bemoans the greatest mistake of his life - seeking out and reanimating Frankenstein's monster. Madhouse of Death: When his car breaks down this dark stormy night, Jack Anvil, fearless PI, calls at the first property he reaches, a gloomy mansion on a hill. Geoffrey the creepy butler informs him that the master, Dr. Mortality, is not in the habit of receiving visitors, but Anvil is persistent. As things turn out, the manic Dr. Mortality, even more frightening to look upon than Geoffrey, is obscenely delighted to welcome a guest for the night. One drugged tea later, he introduces Anvil to Gargantus the gorilla, "your new home!" Brain Deed: Frankenstein eyes up his hunchbacked assistant's lovely damaged cranium ..... Origin Of A Superhero: (Michel Parry [ed.], Superheroes, 1978). A medieval castle overlooking Ingoldstadt at the turn of the 20th Century. Viktor Frankenstein attempts to redeem the good name of his family by creating a super-goodie two-shoes, Alpha One. Alpha has been given the brain of Bertrand Starr, crippled from birth and renowned as the greatest philanthropist of his age. The operation is successful - but a lifetime's worth of bitterness and rejection have finally taken their toll on the Saintly Starr. Viktor is but the first of his many, many Vik-tims ... Facing Fact: Just for a moment the creature believes he's found another like himself. A cruel illusion. Monster of the Pyramid: Greedy tomb-defilers of murderous persuasion fall foul of the Franken-mummy. To be Frank: (Forrest J. Ackerman [ed,] Famous Monsters of Filmland #83, April, 1971). Hendrix and Feltham are sent by the studio to investigate a seven foot guy, taken to hanging out in the hills wearing full Frankenstein monster regalia. Maybe a rival company are filming a horror movie in which case maybe they can do this joker for copy write infringement? But both agree his make-up is more in keeping with Mary Shelley's monster than the patented Universal version. Their journey in vain, Hendrix and Feltham decide to have some fun with the wannabe creature. Bad idea. He doesn't have the greatest sense of humour. All good fun but from memory, the best of these short horrors is yet to come. Pop culture refs. John Carradine, Bela Lugosi, Inner Sanctum, The Old Dark House, The East Side Kids, The Shadow, Terror Tales, Black Mask.

Crawler from the Tomb: Ghoulish grave-robbing exploits of narrator and his "vile and morbid" accomplice, Johann Veidt, who disinter plague victim Helmut Frankenstein from his grave. Their motives differ. Narrator wants to steal blood-red ruby ring from the dead man's finger, Veidt just likes playing with purifying things. Five days dead, the plague has ravished Herr Frankenstein's corpse something puke-provoking, but not to worry; Helmut was a chip off the old block whose dabbling in BLACK SCIENCE saw him perfect a serum for returning the dead to life .... Frankenstein: A Poem: Clue is in the title. F.R.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.E.I.N.: (Forrest J. Ackerman [ed.], Perry Rhodan #36: Man and Monster, 1973). Clark Wilson of the Midwest Times lands the one they all wanted - an interview with Dr. Kris Ducey, inventor of a monumental super-computer. F.R.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.E.I.N. is programmed to eradicate all evil, and do so with extreme prejudice! Ducey's home-made daughter, Rana, is also pretty tasty. Mad? You call him mad? Count Karnstein's Creation: (Michel Parry (ed.) - The Rivals of Frankenstein, 1977). Descendent of Frankenstein learns the pitfalls of ransacking body parts from Transylvanian graveyards. A DFG moment to rival O.G.R.E.'s attack on the Miss Laser Beam Beauty Pageant (winner: luscious Lynn Powell, need you ask) in Terror of Frankenstein. Torch and go: Fatal faux pas of the would-be monster-slayers.

My Creation, My Beloved: Can surrogate bodies assembled from choice bits of corpses fall in love and enjoy a fulfilled and rampant sex life? Ask the former Gregore 'The Toad of' Frankenstein and she whose brain once belonged to Dr. Irma Reichmann, the brilliant scientist. Grave-robbing, mortuary-plundering, corpse-fondling, voyeurism, deformity - there's never a dull moment in this mini-epic.
A Man Called Frankenstein: Big Al Caruso's once all-powerful crime syndicate has never been the same since the repeal of Prohibition. And now he's fallen foul of the Mob who send their top contract killer to destroy him. The man-thing that calls itself 'Frankenstein' blithely storms Big Al's castle, unaware that a second bogus monster awaits him in the shadows ...
The Man Who Built Robots: Professor Rex Frankenstein demonstrates his latest and greatest invention to a suitably astonished journalist, namely, Frankandroid, "the most sophisticated and human-like robot ever built." I know we've all been here before with members of this particular family, but take it from me, there is absolutely no possibility whatsoever of anything going wrong.

Fans of Donald F. Glut might enjoy this very recent (recorded circa May 2022) audio interview between him and popular American horror hostess Penny Dreadful (in her real-life guise of Danielle Gelehrter). The conversation focuses on Glut's interest in Dark Shadows and its fandom, but there are numerous memories involving other projects in which Glut was involved. Who knew Mr. Glut sounded like somebody's sweet old grandpa? www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgnwlL-0P6EH.
