Robert Lory Challenge to Dracula (Pinnacle 1975) This is the last novel. Again an old foe of Dracula awakens, this time the magician-warrior Ka-Zadok who sits frozen on an iron thron deep in the Himalays. So its off to Nepal for the gang, while the Old Gods are coming nearer through space. As the series progressed it ever more got into the realm of what is today called cosmic horror. (The 2 cent version.) Quite a shame that Lory never could complete it. There were a few nice ideas, and it developed quite a bit from its original "let´s kill some mobsters". The cover though, not so good.

The cover though, not so good. Drac is less than fearsome looking, isn't he? Too bad NEL didn't publish this one.

I don't know about you, but I don't think the American covers of Lory's Dracula books were as good as the UK NEL ones.
