A few numbers missing from Digit list: D167 - Burridge P., The Hills Shall Hide Us R233 - Mason Todd, Passport to Shame G265 - Kuprin Alexandre, Yama, The Pit G476 - Hurst Fannie, Lummox R708 - Marks Lee, Japanese Bushido R889 - Levinson Maurice, The Desperate Passion of Henry Knopf. I am seeking the Titles & Author to the following. R699 R786 R893 R894 R896 R909 R923 R928 R943 Any HELP would be appreciated. Had a wee peek. It's difficult without titles - probably not much chance but if you scan these pictures you might not recognize a cover or two. Long chance

A couple of those are reprints: Lummox and Japanese Bushido. Not uncommon for Digit to reissue books with new numbers. And thanks too for the steer as to B&W's other imprints. How do you know so much about them? Sorry I'm not able to help out with any of your missing numbers.

Hi, Digit books did publish a few reprints with New Number and Cover Art as with their Wagon Wheel Series which all were prfixed with W, all of the Digits were prefixed either D.R or G but I have a copy with C many were reprints from other editions but did publish a few original titles. My collecting started in the 1980's collecting Peff (Sam Peffer) Cover Art which then pogressed to many other formats of art produced by Sam which included Film Posters, Video Covers, Hard Back Jackets, Greetings Cards and more. This then led to collecting other types of Vintage Paperbacks, see my blog for Peff Art, The Art of Peff: In memory of Sam Peffer this is an ongoing project mainly visual. In the early 1990's I was a member of BAPC The British Association of Paperback Collectors which had many knowlegeable members but as since folded sorry to say, some the the members were Steve Holland, Guy N Smith, Mike Ashley, Phil Stephensen-Payne, Maurice Flanagon of Zardoz Books and others. Cheers Ray

Cheers Ray Hi Ray Afraid i've no further info on the missing Digits, but just wanted to compliment you on your very beautiful blog. Consider The Art of Peff bookmarked. I am sorry to hear of Sam Peffer's death. The man was class.

In an attempt (when I have time and the energy) to nail down the order of publication of some of the earlier Digits I have just splashed out a massive three and a half quid on a copy of Whitaker's Five-Year Cumulative Book List 1958-1962. 116,588 titles published in those years listed by author.
If anyone wants me to look anything up in it let me know.

I've used those - very handy indeed, though they sometimes lack the small mushroom publishers.
