Hey guys,
I just registered and now officially say "Hello" to all of you. I'm 32 and I come (and live in) from germany. My "pulp career" is only at the beginning as I haven't read that much pulpier books besides the classic, e.g. REH'S Conan and Kull stuff, E. Rice. B. Mars & Venus series, much of Lovecraft-ian stories, Moorcock's Elric and Fritz Leiber's stories about Fafhrd & Grey Mouser. One of my fave authors besides these mentioned is also Kim Newman (Jack Yeovil) from whom I absolutely love his "Dark Future" series and the brilliant, mindblowing "The Bloody Red Baron". So - I hope and guess I have a lot to discover here. Besides reading a lot my other interests are music (more than a lot actually...), martial arts, doing some graphic arts at the computer and Arcade and Videogames from the 80s/90s. Cheers, David

i'm not sure why, but we've never really given Kim Newman's work much of a look in. It could be that he falls out of our favoured time span, could also be that not a lot of the readers like his work, but that doesn't usually stop us. Perhaps if you get us started with a KN thread, it will encourage a few people to chip in. I know i've one of his Jack Yeovil Dark Future efforts hanging around - Elvis on the cover, brandishing a machine gun - but haven't yet got around to it. I enjoyed Anno Dracula and i rate a number of his short horror stories while others pass me by completely.

allright As KM is one of my favourites I will open a new thread. Err, wher to put it/him best? I suppose "Miscellany Of Misery" suits best, right?
