Greetings from across the Irish Sea, I've just discovered this place and thought I'd stop by to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Derek Gunn and in my spare time I write books. I've two published in the US, two more coming this year again, in the US and finally, a lot closer to home I have another book being published this year by GWP in the UK. I see a lot of familiar names from other haunts on the web here.... Cheers! Derek www.derekgunn.com

Hi Derek! I recognise your name from another board too I reckon, though I must admit I'm not familiar with your novels. I'm more of a short story person myself.
Welcome to the Vault. ;D Caroline

Hi Derek
I love historical naval stories - Patrick O'Brien is one of my all time favourite writers. Though I suspect this may be a long way from his stuff. Will probably love it!
I'm not really into vampire stories these days - a bit glutted on them, I suppose - but I definitely think I fancy that "grisly, zombie adventure story". The Estuary sounds an intriguing title. It conjures up images already!
Best wishes
David

David, I'm a huge Patrick O'Brien fan too! If you're interested, there's a little about The HMS Swift Chronicles HERE and about The Estuary HEREDerek Also I should clarify that the Vampire Apocalypse series is essentially a military action series - action from the first page to the last.

Nice cover on the HMS Swift book. Sounds a definite for me. The concept art for The Estuary looks good too. As does the premise. You must keep us informedf about these. I'll definitely be getting them myself. I like the options available, hardback, paperback and audio. The latter's something of a novelty. I regularly borrow unabridged audio books from our local library to listen to while I'm travelling in the car. I usually get through at least one a week. David

David, When I was doing a lot of travelling for my day job, I too found the audio books from the library a fantastic way to pass the journey (and deal with the traffic!) - I'm more desk bound these days and miss that 'time out'. I've just heard from the publisher that The HMS Swfit Chronicles is getting a new Steve Crisp cover which I can't wait to see and am just thrilled about... Derek
