And if this isn't exciting enough, later in the year the 5th Black Book will be released and that's a Pan special!

And if this isn't exciting enough, later in the year the 5th Black Book will be released and that's a Pan special! Well, you've got me excited Charles ... and I'm quite looking forward to the books too! (only kidding folks - don't take me seriously) Reggie Oliver, eh? I've heard quite a lot about him - mostly from Des and David R on the BFS board I think - but I've never read one of his stories. His collections seem to be outrageously expensive just to get one to try it and see if I like it. So this is going to be very interesting for me. Looking forward to it ... ;D

Glad we've got you interested in Reggie Oliver's stories. They really are excellent, with no exageration.
There was one in a fairly recent Dark Horizons, which was reprinted in Masques of Satan, if you have a copy somewhere.
Waiting for Reggie's latest collection. Another limited edition hardback, I'm afraid, costing quite a bit, and published in Romania of all places. That should be arriving any day now.
Oh for the days when the likes of Ronald Chetwynd-Hayes could get collections of his far inferior stories published in cheap mass market paperbacks, available to all and sundry!
David

His The Children of Monte Rosa is in the current (19th) Mammoth Best New Horror, too (which i've just begun months after it arrived. Must get around to writing up some of the stories as the four i've read to date have been proper horror. Reggie's on next). Thought you'd probably have a copy of that, Caz?

There was one in a fairly recent Dark Horizons, which was reprinted in Masques of Satan, if you have a copy somewhere. I must confess I'm not a BFS member, David - I just hang around the board there a bit - so I don't get Dark Horizons. But I do have this one. It's one of those anthologies which I dipped in and out of, and then put on one side when I got others which seemed more interesting. So I completely missed that there was a Reggie Oliver story in there. I'll have to go take a look ...

Ooo, I'm so pleased to see Rog has got "Nails" in here! I remember him putting that story - piece by piece - into the Workshop here shortly after I joined the Vault, and it's such a great story - I enjoyed it so much. Well done Rog! ;D

Just been sending out contributor copies, Caroline. I discovered that I'm short of envelopes so haven't updated the website yet.
It's listed on Amazon.com and some are available through Marketplace sellers at Amazon.co.uk priced over £12!
It'll be £7-50 from me.
