I did send a copy to Death Ray, so it probably is... unless it's in Bizarre.

It is Death Ray issue 10. Just had a glance at it in WHSmith. "A superior example of its type," is how the book is summed up.

Thanks Dan.
I tried to find a copy on Wednesday but without luck. But JLP has since filled me in on what the other 40 words of the review are.
Did find: The Green Flames of Aries - Lory Fortune 5: Squeeze Play - Thomas H. Stone (Harknett) Operation Exocet - Adam Hardy (Bulmer) Death Waits in Tucson - Desmond Reid (?) Five Star western Contract - Chris Dempster

£ 101.45? Cheap at twice the price unless it's used, in which case i'm only prepared to go ninety. Reassuring to see old abebook's are still their usual 'competitively priced' selves.

Just to report here on the Black Book thread, someone left this public comment on my MySpace;
I just read the about your pie with too much gravy in the Black horror book. I just loved how the story unfolded and the whole concept of it. It now ranks with Bernard McLaverty's, 'No yolk' as one of my all time favourites.
Best wishes

Delighted to go into Waterstones in Bristol this weekend and see three copies of the first Black Book along with one of those little card recommendation things next to it ending with the comment 'at least one a year please Mr Black'.

Des - that's a nice comment to get, much better than happy hump day! John - I didn't expect them to have that many copies. Did you sign them? Or point out that #2 is now available!? Latest review appears at Horrorscope, which happens to be the title of a story at All Things Horror.

Hi Charlie - no I didn't sign them, but the fact that they were next to 'Read by Dawn Vol 1' which also has one of my stories in made me feel almost legit.

I don't know why but that review, Charles, is my favourite so far. David

Thats a link to my website that is. I feel quite giddy! Horrorscope is a great tale and has a lot of the HP Lovecraft about it. I am going to make it my lifes work to get a story in a book that you can buy in Waterstones. Does anyone know how I submit stories to The Dark Erotica of Clitus Morbitus Volume 6?

That review is now online here. The Bristol branch now has the 2nd book in stock.
