Your collection is coming along very nicely, Adrian . From all the issues you have, which are your favourites?

Ooh... floodgates opening now 62 - "Face in the Fog" - Well illustrated and spooky, with a poetic ending, which really works. A classic tale. 70 - "Hands of Death" - Gory tale of revenge by dismembered hands. Not to be confused with "Hands of Evil" - which is also about hands but they are two different stories. 81 - "Execution of Sinners" - This one is just plain sick 83 - "Terror in Wax" - Best cover painting of the whole series. The one that made me want to hunt them all down (Cover pic attached!) 106 - "The Cupboard" - Revenge from beyond the grave again. Nicely done. 104 - "Fear" - Very good artwork - I love all the stories done by this illustrator ("Face in the Mirror" and "Born to be Evil" are two others). I didn't realise until now that all of the early editions, up to about issue 26, have got two stories per issue. The book title and illustration is only one of the stories.

I should have asked this sooner - but I have been selling off the duplicates on eBay (after buying two job lots there was some overlap)
So is anyone interested in buying selling or swapping?
Or do we not do that here?

In an attempt to work out how many issues I am missing, I have done as much research I can of all the titles I own and don't own (even to the point of making a spreadsheet!) and come up with a reckoning that at least 51 issues are reprints. That means there are no more than 86 unique issues out there. The good news for me is that I feel like I am only missing a handful of actual "stories"!

Love the artwork. But I'm wondering just how schlocky the texts are.
Thanks for sharing this link!
cheers, Hel.

Love the artwork. But I'm wondering just how schlocky the texts are. Thanks for sharing this link! cheers, Hel. Pocket Chiller Library is actually a comic book series, of which I only read one. I'll know which one when I see it. More importantly, the same website has scads of of comics, newspaper comic strips and pulp magazines etc to download. Here's Weird Tales for one: pulpandoldmagazines.wordpress.com/2018/09/09/weird-tales/
