I love the cover to Fangtooth, Shaun. When is it out? The rest of the Signature series sound great too. David

Yes, I think it's an awesome cover. It's a concept one at the moment, but hopefully it will be the actual cover, or as close as damn as it's exactly what I envisaged for the creature. No publication date set yet, but hopefully early next year.

It is, but I must stress that it is only a concept cover, and the actual cover might be different.

Shaun - I very much like the sound of your book. It's the sort of novel you just don't find on bookshelves these days - more's the pity. I think the cover is pretty good but lacks perhaps story drama. I could imagine a dark shape just breaking the ocean surface in the forground whilst in the background are the lights of the sleeping fishing village waiting - perhaps a trawler heading towards the unknown creature...

Thanks for the input, ade. Yes, I don't think you find many 'monster' novels about nowadays (unless I just don't spot them). The emphasis seems to be on vampires etc. Hopefully Ghostwriter can buck the trend.

Grrrr, vampires!
Funnily enough, I don't mind them in films or in old, old stories, but the modern trend for romantic, guilt-ridden vampires worrying about their ennui...
I hope so too. Looks promising. Anything to get away from those effete, pale faced bloodsuckers!
Now, back to my story about a strange young girl called Lucy. ;D

I can't agree with David more...I really struggle with vampire lore. Give me a monster...a werewolf...a cloud full of monsters...but angst ridden fella with a dental problem...not doing it for me (I liked 30 Days of Night...as those vampires were just out for a snack).
And thanks for the kind words, all. We're just trying to bring back things we liked as kids.
