Happy birthday, Dr. Terror! have you read E. G. Swain? the Stoneground ghost stories must be among the gentlest ever written, not normally my thing at all, but for sheer charm ... when Equation books put out their edition in the late 'eighties as part of the 'Chillers' series, they supplemented the Swain stories with a number of new Mr. Mr. Batchel tales from Ghosts & Scholars legend David G. Rowlands.

Thanks!
I don't remember, Dem, I don't have a Swain collection, but maybe I have in an anthology.

About all things Jamesian, Rosemary Pardoe has reactivated her Ghosts & Scholars website. For anyone interested, she has told me that she has a couple of copies of her THE ANGRY DEAD at £5.00 at postage. You can contact her via the website: www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~pardos/GS.html

Obviously, my last posting should read "£5.00 plus postage".

Thanks for that information, codex. That's a site I'll keep my eye on. I'm glad it's been revived.

About all things Jamesian, Rosemary Pardoe has reactivated her Ghosts & Scholars website. I agree, that is very good news; it's a site I used to visit very regularly. And I also share some of the misgivings expressed there over the new version of Oh Whistle... that the beeb have lined up for this Xmas. According to the Radio Times it doesn't even have a whistle in it...
