Errol Lecale - Zombie (NEL 1975) Ian Miller? Not long finished reading this one (No.5 in The Specialist series) & I know I certainly want the rest of the series. I'm possibly missing some background by starting with No.5, but this is the only one I have so far & that cover was so inviting (I think it's Ian Miller's work, no artist credit on the cover, but certainly looks like his). It moves along nicely, I was halfway through before I knew it, the refences to the vampire episode has certainly made me want to track Castledoom down. I still like flesheaters, but it was nice to read a return to Voodoo origins. What this book put me in mind of was a novelisation of White Zombie (albeit with slightly more violence a switching of the villian's sex & some other touches), which is not a criticism. Zombie certainly gets a thumbs up from me, now to find the rest of the books. ;D

Castledoom arrived today, Thanks KC. It's certainly moved to the top of the to read pile, once I've finished Daughter Of Darkness.

Errol Lecale (Wilfred McNeilly) - Zombie (NEL 1975, 126 pages) "The Specialist" No. 5.
In this day and age the series would have made a nice Netflix series. Of course Mara would be the speaking heroine and Hugo would be absent. (On second thought, we got Penny Dreadful, which as far as period piece horror goes was all one could wish for.)
